An Unexpected Cargo
To put it bluntly James Stevens (played by Joel Smallbone) is desperate. He was not always in this place of despair, he was going places, but then everything seemed to fall apart. His beautiful, loving wife Melody was tragically dead. She was the one that made him better, drove him to be a better man, and now she was gone. He had struggled to pull himself together, struggled to keep walking forward, if not for himself than at least for their little girl Emmy, but nothing seemed to work. Now he was about to lose Emmy too. Social Services was pounding on his door, breathing down his back, threatening to take away his last piece of sunshine unless he turns his life around. So the desperate man from Priceless sets off on a frantic search for work. And he finds a job, too. An easy one. All he has to do is drive a locked truck across the country. Don't open it, don't think about it, just put the keys in the ignition and drive. So James gets in the driver's seat and he starts driving. He doesn't know what he's transporting, but he doesn't really care. He just needs the money. When he drifts off while driving and his truck veers off the road, James' entire life is about to change.
He hears a cry, and he breaks open the lock to the back of the truck. And that's when he finds out what is cargo is. Except, it is not "what"å? but "who."å? Huddled in the back of the truck are two sisters, Antonia (played by Bianca A. Santos) and Maria (played by Amber Midthunder), beautiful and terrified. Now James must make a choice. Does he risk his life to save the innocence of two young women, or does he turn his back and walk away?
The film Priceless is more than a story. It contains powerful messages that will touch your heart and change your life. As James struggles to decide what he will do with the two young women whose lives have been unexpectedly placed into his hands, he must decide whether he will turn and walk away, or listen to the still small voice in his heart. Priceless is a powerful reminder that God places people and situations in our lives for a reason. It is a reminder that when we hear his still small voice he is speaking to us for a reason. That we must act in faith and love, because no matter how small the whisper may be we cannot comprehend how big the action may become"ÌÒwe could even save someone's life.
The film Priceless is also a powerful reminder that in God's eyes the life of every individual is priceless. A life cannot be bought or sold, it is beyond price. Not only that, but just like the girls become priceless to James, God has paid a bigger price to redeem and ransom our lives. No matter who we are or what we have done we are considered priceless in the eyes of God.
The film Priceless addresses the real, tragic issue of human trafficking in our world today. While sensitively approaching the topic with compassion and love, Priceless also opens viewers' eyes to the tragedy, darkness, and hurt that surrounds the reality of human trafficking. Based on a true story, Priceless will powerfully open your eyes to a very real, very awful issue in our world, while challenging you to take a stand and act in love.
A powerful, well filmed story Priceless will change the hearts of any who see it. It is a story of a man stepping into a story greater than himself. It is a story of compassion in the midst of pain. A story of courage in the midst of fear. A story of love in the midst of hurt. It is a reminder that real darkness exists in this world, yet if we take action the darkness will not always prevail. It is a challenge to listen to the still small voice God places in our hearts. It is a challenging, loving, heart changing reminder that every life is priceless. Every heart has been redeemed by God. That every victim deserves a voice. That if we do not speak, none will speak for them. That it takes faith and courage to battle darkness. That in the midst of pain there can be healing. Priceless will touch, challenge, and heal hearts of every viewer with a story of great pain and great redemption.
