The Visual Bible is a collection of DVDs on FishFlix.com that are designed to bring the Bible to life while also maintaining complete and total accuracy. Leaving it pure and unadulterated from the way we find it in the Bible is truly the ultimate way to experience the scriptures and the Gospel message.
The Visual Bible has three different films in its collection, spotlighting three different films from the Bible. The first movie in the series takes the book of Matthew and follows the scripture verbatim. As you experience the story of Jesus, you will come to understand Him better. Follow along as you get to experience Jesus for yourself. It’s like you’re really there as you hear His messages. These films are lengthy looks into Biblical times, reading the text of scripture verbatim in an enjoyable and engaging manner. As Jesus is born into the world and as he grows up, begins His ministry, and begins to make a difference in the world, you can follow along with Him and experience what he experienced. This is truly a revolutionary new study as it plays out as a perfect retelling of the events written down in the Scriptures.
Visual Bible The Book of Matthew is the first book found in the New Testament and it tells the story of Jesus being born, growing up, and beginning His ministry. Over the course of his three year ministry, he takes on twelve disciples to help him, including Peter, James, and John. From there, he travels all over, spreading His message to anyone who would listen to Him. His message was a simple one, but one that would change the face of the world. He told people that he could give them everlasting life, and a way to have eternal salvation. This was an idea that shocked many, in different ways. Some people loved the idea of being able to be saved and having eternal life. However, many doubted Him and some even accused him of blasphemy. Because of this, Jesus’ ministry was one fraught with difficulties and negative feedback. What people didn’t understand was that Jesus was telling the truth – he truly was the son of God and he was the one that would set the world free.
Eventually, after his 3 year ministry, all of his claims would finally bring him down. As he was arrested by the Sanhedrin and brought on trial, it was eventually decided after much dispute that he would be killed for his beliefs and teachings. And so it would come to pass that Jesus would be killed for his teachings. He was beaten, bruised and all around mistreated, but eventually he would be crucified on the cross, ending his 3 years of ministry and outreach to the world. In his limited amount of time, he created a ministry that would last for millennia and have an eternal impact on the lives of millions. In his three years he spent on this earth, he taught people and healed them from their many diseases. He became a bright light shining on to many who would meet him and spend time with him. But eventually, his ministry would come to an end as he was killed by the very people he had come to save. Fortunately, death couldn’t have a permanent effect on him. For three days after being murdered, He would rise from the grave, to the shock and surprise of many. As the Visual Bible version of Matthew shows, he was raised from the dead and he began to appear to many all over for the next 40 days. He came back to give his disciples one last message before he left. He encouraged them to press on in their faith. He had risen and they once again had hope! No longer did they have to doubt, their teacher had come back for them! Jesus left them with one final message – to go into all of the world and continue to preach the message of his resurrection. The fact that Jesus raised from the dead was an absolute miracle. And because of this, it was something that needed to be preached to the entire world.
The Gospel of John Movies, film, is in a very similar style, as it tells the story of Jesus and is another one of the four gospels found in the Bible. This one takes a different perspective, though, following the more poetic and emotional account of John. In this visual retelling of the book of the Bible, you will continue to see Jesus but you will see him through different eyes. Learn of John’s experiences with Jesus and see how his perception of Jesus is different from Matthew’s. Both accounts are fantastic retellings of Jesus’ life and both bring to light his marvelous ways.
Finally, the book of Acts movies, film, is an incredible visual story as it shows the continuation of the scripture. After Jesus came back and left once more, rising to Heaven, what happened next? What did the disciples do with their calling? The encouraging thing is that they chose to do what Jesus commissioned them to do. And so we see the rise of the early church. We see where the disciples were first called Christians, the amazing events at Pentecost, and much more. Learn how the church began to spread like wildfire. As more people heard the message of Jesus, more people told others, and the cycle continued to grow on and on! Visual Bible The Book of Acts was the 3rd one on this series.
All three of these stories have their script taken straight from the scriptures, which is what gives it such an authentic feel. Visual Bible an excellent DVD series to help grow your understanding of the books Matthew, John, and Acts.
