Rumors Of Wars

Post apocalyptic war drama, combined with mystery filled thriller--Rumors Of Wars. Captain Shaw-- or agent 408 as he is better known as-- was once perfectly content working for the One World Army. Sure it had some downsides, but tracking down individuals who refused to get the chip that allows them to buy and sell once seemed like the perfect job. When he stumbles upon an old book that mysteriously holds a picture of his dead father, however, his life with all the answers is about to change. Instead of destroying the book with the rest of the "Christian literature" like he is supposed to, Shaw sneaks it away to read for himself. What he discovers opens his eyes to a world he never saw before. Starring Ben Davies as Shaw, Jennifer Cooper as the book's long ago author Roxy, and Eric Roberts as the power hungry Zurn, singer Jackie Valesquez as Beth, and Third Day's lead singer Mac Powell, Rumors Of Wars is an action packed film that will leave you on the edge of your seat in suspense.

Synopsis

For college student and aspiring journalist Roxy, life was fairly normal. Go to school, do your homework, maybe see your friends. Her life, however, is changed forever when a terrorist attack kills her fiance. Devastated, Roxy begins seeking out the truth behind the attack that killed her beloved husband to be. What she begins to uncover, as viewers will see in Rumors Of Wars, sets her down a track of shocking truths, and as she begins to investigate end time prophecies she finds herself desperately recording her research and the truth of what is happening in her world in a secret journal. When she refuses to receive the chip government authorities say is mandatory for preventing future attacks she finds herself a hunted target. On the run and beginning to understand the full impact of what is happening around her, Roxy begins to wonder if she'll make it through alive.

Fast forward several years. Captain Shaw, officer in the New World Army-- or agent 408-- cannot seem to escape from the words and actions of the very people he hunts down to destroy-- Christians. One day, as he is working through the rubble of one of many of the destroyed buildings he discovers a book. Unbeknownst to him this book-- Roxy's journal-- holds the real truth about the events that started the end of the world and the New World Army he now works for. As the words from between its pages sink into his heart he begins to realize that perhaps he is on the wrong side...the very wrong side. What will he do with this new found truth? Will he, like Roxy, be able to escape the ever-tightening grip of the New World before it is too late?

BearFruit Films

Rumors Of Wars was produced by Christian film company BearFruit Films. BearFruit Films seeks to spread encouragement, positive messages, Biblical ideas, and family entertainment through quality films. They realize that much of our modern culture, ideas, and philosophy stems-- whether for good or bad-- from media. Messages and values in secular media, as the film company says, can desensitize viewers to content that is not always "pure, lovely, excellent, and praiseworthy," it can also instill foolish fears and unrealistic expectations in viewers. Films like this do not bear fruit in the viewer's hearts, or give life. On the flip side, BearFruit films sees that although many Christian filmmakers produce movies with good intentions, they often come out feeling more like a Sunday sermon than an entertaining movie. BearFruit films try to straddle the gap between secular movies and "sermon" films, with movies like Rumors Of Wars. They seek to create films with positive messages and Biblical foundations, but are still exciting, entertaining, and could speak to a wide audience. They believe that ideas and heart transformation starts with the planting of tiny seeds, and that these seeds are best planted through stories and characters like those found in the film Rumors Of Wars. BearFruit Films tries to create movies that tell powerful, heart touching stories about believable, courageous, sacrificing characters. They seek to tell stories of redemption through their films, yet entertain the audience along the way.
