Jason Malek (Seth Packard) is in Afghanistan serving as a soldier when divine intervention saves him from a sniper attack that kills his best friend, a devoted husband, father, and Christian. Tormented by guilt from watching his friend die and being spared by a God in whom he doesn't believe, Jason returns home to make peace with his past, beginning with the childhood tragedy of losing his father. Comfort comes when new neighbors, Lou and Paul, shed light on Jason's dad, who just may have been watching out for Jason all along.
