A New Old Battle
Much has changed since the Pevensies left the beloved land of Narnia, yet many things have not. The land is still as magical as ever, the creatures just as endearing. The High Kings and Queens still hold a special place in the hearts of the Narnians, their just rule and heroic deeds live on. Narnia still finds itself the battleground between good and evil, the evil just as bad as ever before. Aslan is still good. Aslan is still faithful. C.S. Lewis' beloved second book of the Narnia series comes to life in Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, bringing valuable lessons and themes along with it. Sacrifice, perseverance, courage, and loyalty still lie at the heart of the Pevensie children, they still lie at the heart of the Narnian's battle. Despite immeasurable odds they stand bravely against the forces of evil, clinging to one another for strength and hope. The sacrifice Aslan made on their behalf still burns deeply in their minds, and though he may not be present, they feel his faithfulness. Yet, Aslan is faithful, and he will conquer the forces of darkness even if it may not be in the way they would desire. Narnia may have changed, but Aslan still remains, and the battle against evil can still be fought with courage, perseverance, and faith.
