Episode 1: "Beginnings"

"Beginnings," the first episode of The Bible Miniseries covers the biblical book of Genesis. The first part of this episode is narrated by Noah, while he and his family are on board the ark. As they wait inside the ark Noah recounts the Creation of the world and the fall of man. The second half of the first episode of The Bible Miniseries shows the life of Abraham, including God's covenant with him and his children, Hagar and Ishmael, the birth of Isaac, and Sodom and Gomorrah.

Episode 2: "Exodus"

The book of Exodus is portrayed in the second part of The Bible Miniseries. Following the life of Moses viewers will see the struggle of the Israelites to escape Egypt and their journey to the promise land. Including the burning bush, the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, and the Ten Commandments the second episode of The Bible Miniseries will give new life to old stories.

Episode 3: "Homeland"

As Moses dies a new generation of Israelites begins their journey into the land God had given them. The third part of The Bible Miniseries, "Homeland," tells the story of Joshua. As the Israelites defeat Jericho and march into their Promised Land The Bible Miniseries follows their struggle to establish themselves in a land filled with enemies. Their enemies the Philistines are ever ready to destroy their new homeland, but God gives them a deliverance in the form of a man named Samson. . .

Episode 4: "Kingdom"

The Israelites have finally established themselves in their land, but now they want a king. Anointed by the prophet Samuel, King Saul struggles to follow the God of his people. When David defeats Goliath it seems a golden age has dawned in Israel. But can David stand against temptation and follow God's heart? Will his son Solomon be able to accomplish his father's dream of building the temple in this fourth episode of The Bible Miniseries?

Episode 5: "Survival"

Enslaved in Babylon the Israelites struggle to find hope, in the fifth part of The Bible Miniseries. But faith still burns brightly in the hearts of many men. Three Hebrews; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, stand firmly for their God, while Daniel bravely faces a den of lions in the name of Yahweh. When the people of Israel return to their land they must rebuild their Promised Land once more from the rubble their sin created.

Episode 6: "Hope"

Hundreds of years have passed since God's people have last heard his voice when an angel visits a young woman named Mary. Chosen to bear God's son Mary must face a journey to Bethlehem and a ruthless king named Herod before her child, Jesus, can be raised safely in Nazareth. Yet, God's plan for his son is only just beginning when John baptizes Jesus and the first disciples are called in the sixth episode of The Bible Miniseries.

Episode 7: "Mission"

Fully man and fully God, episode seven of The Bible Miniseries focuses on the life and miracles of a man named Jesus, the Son of God.

Episode 8: "Betrayal"

When Judas betrays Jesus after the Last Supper the vision of hope all of Israel is clinging to seems to be falling apart. As Jesus stands before the high priest his disciples wonder what plan God may have for his own son in this episode of The Bible Miniseries.

Episode 9: "Passion"

As the trial of Jesus escalates both Peter and Pilate must make choices about their beliefs. As the nails pounded into the cross in the ninth episode of The Bible Miniseries the Son of God is crucified and his followers wonder where their hope has gone.

Episode 10: "Courage"

As the tomb lies open and the disciples see the risen Lord everyone rejoices at the good news; Jesus is alive. Yet difficult times lie ahead for those who choose to follow him; Stephen, Paul, and others suffer for their belief in God's salvation. Yet, God speaks to his people once more in John's Revelation.
