Christmas Angel in the House Synopsis

Christmas Angel in the House (Also known under the title "Foster"å?, but will from hereon be called "Christmas Angel in the House"å?) is an endearing and delightful film about a 7 year old boy who is fostered by a family and completely changes their world in ways he couldn't possibly imagine. A married couple, Zooey and Alec, have struggled for years after the devastating loss of their son. They've never quite been able to cope since he was killed, and they have never been able to have another child after that incident. But after years of loneliness, they begin to wonder if they should try fostering or adopting a child, just to get back into it. Zooey reasons that they have a lot of love to give, and there are children out there in desperate need of homes. And so, after pondering it for a time, they end up with a young 7-year old boy by the name of Eli under their care. They quickly realize that Eli is no typical young boy. He's not the type to go out and roughhouse or play outside all day. He is no rough and tumble tomboy, he is a proper and well-spoken young boy. Wearing a suit everyday, Eli is a boy with big ideas who has the maturity triple his age. While initially, his foster parents are taken aback by this behavior, they begin to listen to his ideas and they realize that he actually makes a lot of sense. Some of his ideas, in fact, may be enough to save the toy factory and help Zooey and Alec get back on their feet. Christmas Angel in the House is an incredible Christmas comedy that not only contains some good humor, but a lot of emotion and wonderful drama. You will be blown away by this powerful film.

The History of Christmas Angel

Christmas Angel in the House originally began as a short film, and was shot several years before the actual feature-length film was shot. This short film was created by Peter Farrelly and premiered on HBO and BBC back in the year 2007. This was a short idea and a test of sorts to see if the idea would work on screen. After the film was released, it received incredibly positive reception from critics, and even won some big awards, including Best Film and Best Actor. This inspired the directors to begin looking into potentially taking this idea and making it a full-fledged, feature-length film. And so, on October 18, 2011, the full idea was realized and was brought about in the form of Christmas Angel in the House (or "Foster"å?). This movie ran 90 minutes long and was the feature-length style film the creators had intended. It was also met with an extremely favorable response. Maurice Cole, who plays the seven-year old boy Eli in this film, received incredibly positive reviews for his stellar performance. Despite his young age, he was able to deliver one of the solidest acting parts in the film and was able to easily take on the role of a mature adult in a young boy's body. The film was considered a beautiful and moving comedy that had the happiest of endings and a wonderful message. Christmas Angel in the House is a fantastic film that tells a great Christmas story of love and learning how to let go of the past and move on into the future with love.

The Story of Christmas Angel

In Christmas Angel in the House, meet Zooey and Alec, a couple that has been through a lot. Although they're getting older, they haven't had any kids since their first son was killed several years ago. Ever since that time, they haven't been able to have any more kids or face the reality of parenthood again. But as time passes, they begin to slowly heal and Zooey begins to wonder if they should look into fostering or adopting. It could at least be a start to getting them back into parenthood again. And so, they consider it more and end up with Eli, a smart young 7 year old boy, who is anything if not unique. Although he is incredibly young, he insists on wearing a suit every day and talks like he is a man 3 or 4 times his age. Zooey and Alec begin to fall in love with him and as he spends more time with them, he begins to help them and even gives them ideas on how to save their struggling toy shop business. They begin to find that Eli is an incredible genius! They love him and continue to spend time with him. As time goes on and they get to do more fun things together like go to an amusement park, they begin to wonder if they should adopt him and consider making him a permanent part of their home. It's around this time that Eli asks Zooey a very interesting question. Does she believe in angels? Does she believe there are guardians out there, keeping people safe and watching over them? It's a question that causes Zooey to stop and ponder.
