WHEN CALLS THE HEART SEASON 4 (WCTH) MOVIE #1 THE HEART OF FAITH
Includes a Framable Commemorative Photograph of Montie Jack Thornton and Bonus Content on the DVD.
Daniel Lissing (Eye Candy, Last Resort), Jack Wagner (Melrose Place) Erin Krakow (Army Wives, Finding Father Christmas) and Lori Loughlin (Full House, 90210, Fuller House) team up again for the fourth season of Hallmark Channel’s original series When Calls the Heart, a series based on the writings of Janette Oke. In seasons one through three of When Calls the Heart, we have been along with the characters of Hope Valley through heart ache, terrorizing moments with criminals of all sorts, loss of family and friends, love new and old. What will Season Four bring our friends in Hope Valley? When Calls the Heart: The Heart of Faith is the first two-hour movie in When Calls the Heart Season 4. This beautiful story was broadcast originally as “The Heart of Christmas” on Christmas Day 2016.
When Christmas comes to Hope Valley in The Heart of Faith, everyone is found in a festive mood. Entrepreneur Lee and the lovely Rosemary – now married have just returned from the honeymoon of their dreams and surprisingly take up residence in a row house right next to Elizabeth. Elizabeth’s relationship with Rosemary has been up and down, but the proximity of the two women will be an exciting part of the storyline in Season Four. Elizabeth is busying herself with the children’s nativity play, which is of course something that Rosemary has a hard time keeping her nose out of!.
The Hope Valley of When Calls the Heart is the kind of place that encounters out-of-town visitors of all kinds: bank robbers, schemers, scoundrels, even young children pretending to be preacher’s children. So in When Calls the Heart: The Heart of Faith, when a traveling peddler named Sam comes to town, the children and townspeople can’t tell whether he is a merchant, Santa, a petty criminal or a Christmas angel
In When Calls the Heart: The Heart of Faith, the town is gearing up for the children’s nativity play. Any time the children of Hope Valley perform, the whole town seems excited, but it is never without problems! While waiting for supplies, Elizabeth is stunned to hear that the train has been derailed and the town will be without costumes for the play, presents for the children or food for the Christmas meal. Not only does it seem the play is ruined, Christmas itself is on the brink of being a huge disappointment. But in pure Hope Valley and When Calls the Heart fashion, with a lot of spirit, faith and cooperation – the friends and families of Hope Valley band together to show everyone what Christmas is all about in The Heart of Faith
BEYOND ALL EXPECTATIONS
When Calls the Heart: The Heart of Faith is the long-awaited first movie in Season 4 of the Hallmark Channel original series When Calls the Heart. The top executives of the Hallmark Channel called this season premier and Christmas special a “dazzling success becoming by far and away Hallmark Channel’s highest rated season premier.” Nearly 5 million viewers took part in the long-awaited historic broadcast of When Calls the Heart: The Heart of Faith, originally broadcast as “The Heart of Christmas.”
STORY BEHIND WHEN CALLS THE HEART
When Calls the Heart is based on the series of novels by Janette Oke “The Canadian West” and more specifically “Return to the Canadian West”. The main storyline from “Return to the Canadian West” was taken and developed by Michael Langon Jr. into a television series for the Hallmark Channel. In this series, Elizabeth Thatcher, a big city heiress, comes to the Canadian West to help teach school children in the small town of Coal Valley (which becomes Hope Valley.) She meets all kinds of people, some nice, some not-so-nice, and some downright dangerous, but ultimately she falls in love with the town of Hope Valley. Her relationship with Royal North West Mounted Police Constable Jack Thorton is at the heart of the series. Through out seasons one, two and three, fans wonder where the relationship of Jack and Elizabeth is going, and with When Calls the Heart The Heart of Faith especially, the question on every #Hearties’ mind was, would Jack finally ask Elizabeth to marry him?
#HEARTIES MOVEMENT AND IMPACT ON WHEN CALLS THE HEART
The popularity and success of Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart series is in a large part due to the fan base and #Hearties movement surrounding the series. Fans have driven the success of the show by sharing the series with friends and family members, and by their very active presence on social media and online meeting places. Thousands of fans have come together to make the series so well-known and successful. In the same nature as Little House on the Prairie, Road to Avonlea or Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, the When Calls the heart series brings clean, healthy, values-based entertainment to millions of viewers. The #Hearties movement has grown so large that it has sparked a great, annual get-together every December of the fans of When Calls the Heart in Vancouver Canada. Fans, actors, actresses, directors and even Janette Oke come together to visit the set, listen to interviews, and mainly to meet other fans of the show. Many fans have found camaraderie with other fans of the show, all people looking for good, clean, quality entertainment. When Calls the Heart does not disappoint fans looking for clean, quality entertainment.
GOOD CLEAN FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT
When Calls the Heart The Heart of Faith is one more example of the thought and importance given to the series by the directors, producers and executives at the Hallmark Channel. Families from countries all around the world are proclaiming their love for When Calls the Heart. When Calls the Heart is the perfect series for families looking for quality shows to spend time with their children, others looking for shows they can watch with young children around, older children looking for series to gift to their older parents. There is no questions that this is the perfect show for those looking for good, clean family entertainment.
I love the show When Calls the Heart as it is a wonderful show that celebrates faith, community, and love. As a Christian teenager, I wanted to watch a show that was clean and that I could feel comfortable watching without worrying about any negative content of the show. I found that in When Calls the Heart, and so much more. The storyline is captivating and encouraging. I would encourage anyone to watch this show, as I have shared this show with many people: men and women, young and old, and they all love it. Not only do I share this show with my family and friends, but I also am part of the #Hearties, an online fanbase for When Calls the Heart. That is one thing that is so unique about this show. There are over 45,000 people in a Facebook group that talks about the show and how it has affected their lives. This is a show that brings people together-both in the fictional town of Hope Valley and in the real world. This Christmas movie is also wonderful. It can be a stand alone movie, but it also fits in well with the series. It has a wonderful story about the power of community as the town joins together to create a special Christmas for everyone. I would encourage people to watch this movie, and the series as well. When Calls the Heart is my favorite TV show and I can’t say enough good things about it! (Posted on 2/5/17)
This was a wonderful Christmas movie! (Posted on 1/31/17)
I can not say enough great things about the entire When Calls The Heart series and this special Christmas movie was spectacular! I found the first season by accident browsing through recommended TV shows and ended up watching the entire season in one day. Having finished it so quickly, I was so excited to find that the second and third seasons were available as boxed DVD sets and I ended up ordering all three seasons because I just HAD to find out what happened next! The DVD sets are absolutely awesome and they include some really great behind the scenes extras that I just love! Being all caught up on all three seasons, I was super excited to learn that there would be a Christmas movie airing on Christmas day. My entire family got together and watched it Christmas night and it did not disappoint. The movie had Christmas spirit, friendship, romance, faith, family, and the all important little life lessons sprinkled throughout that make this series such a great inspirational show. I really hope that they continue to produce this show for many years to come and that there will be more holiday movies added because this one was fantastic! (Posted on 1/31/17)
I'm going to be honest. I love this show sooooo much and I even decorated my room like it. The one thing out of a very long list of stuff I love about this show is that it's something everyone can watch not just a certain age or a certain gender. I also love how it's very clean and it teaches values. I know that I already reviewed before but I'm reviewing this time so I could send the three boxes sets and the mug to my heartie friend who's birthday is coming up. The thing is before I watched this show I didn't really have a show that I could call my favorite and once I found this show through my mom I fell in love with it immediately because I had previously read the books and I love Jannette Oke. So I watched the first episode and I was hooked. I just recently shared this show with my other friend and she loves it. But the one thing I love the most is that the people in hope valley pull together in bad situation instead of breaking apart that right there shows true friendship and faith. This show has changed my life in many ways and it will continue to change many others as it grows. This is a great show and if you haven't already seen it you need to now. (Posted on 1/31/17)
The Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas 2016 gave the loyal fanbase, the hearties, a wonderful Christmas present this holiday season. Each year FishFlix offers up the greatest packaged season of the show. And not only do you get the movies you also receive a lot of extra behind the scenes tidbits that make rewatching the series amust. This coming year will be no different.
If you have never watched the show and have only seen the Christmas movie I ask you to purchase the previous seasons from FishFlix and begin your When Calls the Heart journey. Based on the Return to Canadian West series by author Janette Oke executive producer and writer Brian Bird helps bring to life the characters from the pages of Oke's creations. In addition to stellar writing and producing the cast includes Fuller House alumna Lori Loughlin along with former daytime drama actor Jack Wagner, Australian heartthrob Daniel Lissing and Army Wives actress Erin Krakow who bring life to the characters and endure them to our hearts.
In the cable television realm the Hallmark Channel is committing themselves to producing positive family entertainment. Yes, there is drama, a bit of mystery and action along with a dash of “swoon” worthy romance that television has lacked for the last couple decades. Included within this positive television series is right amount of faith and family ties. This show is one where you can discuss at the grocery store, Sunday School or on social media with a fanbase that calls themselves hearties. There is no need to ask young children to leave the room or close their eyes. When Calls the Heart is about faith, love and being kind when faced with tough situations. (Posted on 1/31/17)
This movie is amazing and I love it so much. This show has changed my life in many ways. I've gotten new friends as well as getting me reacquainted with old friends and family and I'm so excited for season four. I love how hope valley always makes me smile and ever since I first watched it I was hooked. I love how it's such a clean and Christian show, and great for family and people of all ages. I love this movie so much it shows how we Christians should act and the family values. I love how the town gets together and helps out with the toys to me they was inspirational. Hope Valley is really where hope means hope, Especially for a better life with the happiness of everyone helping each other and coming together for each other and the town. It really is magical. Its also so touching the way people treat each other as friends. I love it sooo much it's sweet and clean and there's kindness week which to me showed me that not only is it a great show but it has lessons in it that need to be taught in our every day lives. I love that no matter what this show always succeeds in making me smile and laugh. I give a hand to the crew and cast members if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have the amazing show we have now (Posted on 1/10/17)
All of Hallmark Christmas movies were great but When Calls the Heart "The Heart of Faith" was the best movie of the season. The movie had all of the elements of a true Christmas - faith, hope, love, caring, giving, kindness, selflessness, with a community working together for the common good of all. The peddler in this show showed all of the characters what they truly needed and provided a lesson to each one of them. The writers did an exceptional job to set up this show with all of its lessons. The cast and the crew performed well and it was presented in a very loving, caring way. Many activities and events took place in this movie - finding the perfect Christmas tree, finding the perfect gift, sacrificing a gift to give another person a gift, helping the lonely and lost, and more. I've been watching When Calls the Heart since Season One and it is truly my favorite series ever! It is such a family oriented series showing a lesson and morals in every episode. I'm a Heartie and have purchased every season DVD and the coloring books. I truly loved this episode and every episode of When Calls the Heart! I can't wait for Season 4 and hope there are many more seasons following it! (Posted on 1/10/17)
Fans of When Calls the Heart have waited patiently for the next installment of this wonderful family oriented series and they were not disappointed. An amazing Christmas gift to all Hearties (fans of the series), this Christmas special brought together all of our favorite characters in Hope Valley. Newlyweds Lee and Rosemary return from their honeymoon in time for the town’s Christmas celebration. All of the children are preparing for the Christmas play. Everyone wants a special part. Abigail contemplates the future political structure of the town as Mayor Gowen recovers from his accident. The Mayor also has some other problems. Bill takes a more active role in the café, giving Abigail the chance to work on the town’s politics. Jack is planning to take Elizabeth to a special Christmas dance. Will he have a special Christmas gift for her? All of this and a mysterious peddler arrives in Hope Valley. How does he affect their Christmas? This is a must-see, destined to be, Christmas classic. Heart warming, giving us love, friendship, and faith, this is a special movie to watch with your entire family, including children of all ages. It definitely will make you anticipate the return of When Calls the Heart Season 4’s return. (Posted on 1/10/17)
I love this movie so much it shows how we Christian should act and how the family values are shown. Hope Valley is really where hope means hope. Especially for a better life with the happiness of everyone helping each other and coming together for each other and the town. It really is this amazing movie showing great teamwork and occasionally a little romance. I also love how it's a great family show and is the best show on hallmark channel. I love it how this show has given me tons of new friends as well as getting me reaccuantied with old ones. I am a true Heartie. This is my favorite show and I already have seasons one, two, and three! After the first episode of the first season, I was hooked!! At first my mom was watching it but when I saw it and started watching I knew my life would never be the same, and it's a great show for young and old. I'm so amazed at how many Hearties this show has created. We're above 40,000 that's amazing. But what I love most is that the writers, creators, cast etc give up their time to make us this show and without their hard work and out support we wouldn't have the amazing show we have now. Another wonderful movie of a small town who shows that giving their time and of themselves is what the holidays are about. Hope Valley coming together to show how not only do they but as they welcome outsiders as residents of Hope Valley celebrate the holidays. They come together to make sure that even after an incident the children still believe their is a Santa Clause. How even a stranger can make the smallest difference. How a child is willing to give up a great treasure for even a greater treasure for another. Townspeople each utilizing their talents and helping families enjoy the warmth comforts of a home. Even the children are showing the kindness of the season. A kindness that is in Hope Valley everyday but should be encouraged in today's society. The writers and directors did a fantastic job with bringing this particular movie together. A warm kind-hearted movie for the whole family no matter the age. A movie that should remind us of what we are missing in our own lives. A movie that would be and should be around for generations to come. A warm comfortable feeling that we need to keep in our hearts not just during the holidays but during the whole year!! (Posted on 1/9/17)
This is an excellent family movie. Warm, comforting and for the wholesome for the whole family to watch. It is a movie in which is set with wonderful actors and actresses in a time when what matter was being together and celebrating what the holidays mean to each us and not the commercialism it is today. Hope Valley is really where hope means hope for a better life with the joy of everyone helping each other and coming together for each other and the town. Were even the smallest person can make the biggest difference and the greatest impact. Where love and friendship has true meaning. Where a group of townspeople are willing to sacrificing there holidays for the good of all and not just for themselves. Also we learn that we should not mess with a man wearing an apron. A warm holiday lesson that we should take and pray for each of our own towns and cities to do in today's society. Truly a wonderful movie for each member of the family whether young or old. Maybe a Christmas movie but a feel good movie to keep in our hearts for the whole year. Truly a wonderful warm kind-hearted loving holiday movie to show for many generations to come. This is my favorite show and I already have seasons one, two, and three! After the first episode of the first season, I was hooked! It reminds me of the family shows I used to watch as a young girl! As a teacher myself, I have shown this series to my students and they are hooked as well! This new season's first episode builds on all of the other seasons. The veteran characters and the new ones blend wonderfully. My favorite scene is with Abigail and Bill in the cafe! It is so funny. I have waited for this new episode for a long time and it is truly worth the wait! The new characters and some that were in season three add to Hope Valley and make this Christmas episode so special. The town comes together to make a wonderful Christmas for all in Hope Valley. Jack and Elizabeth continue getting to know each other and the newlyweds are so funny! All up wanted for Christmas was to watch this episode and I made sure I have enjoyed watching it many times and definitely want to own this on DVD when it is released. If you are a fan of WCTH, you will be amazed at this coming season because of the Christmas episode and the previews of season 4 that have been shown. WELL WORTH THE COST OF THE DVD! I love this program from when it started and so happy that it has continued now into the 4th year! Praise the Lord! I thought the Christmas special was wonderful! It brought to light the real meaning of Christmas. Watching it was a gift for me and my husband! All the actors and actresses are so dedicated to the project and making it successful. I loved the Christmas carols that were played during the movie. The whole thing was well written. Talented writers, producers, and others using their skills to make others happy plus keeping family values so important and real. The Peddler character was very clever and enjoyable!. Liked the message of love, peace, joy, friendship, honesty, that were offered in this Christmas movie. Always like the romance between Elizabeth and Jack plus the other couples in the movie! Overall an excellent Christmas movie! (Posted on 1/9/17)
Around the world, Fans of When Calls the Heart rejoiced when the Christmas Special aired! Hallmark Channel has outdone themselves with the latest installment of the hit series. It’s Christmas time in Hope Valley and Hallmark does not disappoint with their use of gorgeous scenery, beautiful clothes, and a cast that fans can’t get enough of. They remind us about the true spirit of Christmas, especially in a wonderful scene where Cody gives up his beloved baseball, a gift from Lee and Rosemary to buy a Christmas present for Maggie. The entire town comes together once again to make sure everyone can have the Christmas they deserve, especially for the children of Hope Valley and the children from the settlement that was washed out at the end of Season 3. It’s also nice to see how they work together as a community, with the men fixing up houses for the settlers to stay. Rosemary’s decorations are beautiful and show the progress of Hope Valley, by using electric lights on her and Lee’s Christmas tree. I love watching the children when they preform their plays. They’re always so creative and it’s nice to see the whole town together. Mr. Bailey was at the heart of each story it seemed, appearing to the town at a time when they really needed some Christmas magic. Of course, the part I looked forward to the most was when Jack and Elizabeth were dancing. I love Elizabeth’s dress, a gift from Rosemary. The other scene I was really looking forward to was the part of Bill working in the Café with the rolling pin. It’s a heartwarming show and this show only made us more anxious for Season 4. If you haven't seen the When Calls the Heart Christmas movie, than you need to keep on celebrating Christmas by buying the movie! When Calls the Heart is the best show on TV (when it's airing) and great to watch in their off-season. One can never get enough of Jack and Elizabeth, and the many other talented actors and actresses who star in the show and movie. We had to be done with our family Christmas in time to watch this wonderful family movie! It's a movie all ages can watch without any embarrassing moments. People who love When Calls the Heart are rightly called "Hearties." Watch the movie and you will soon see why we are Hearties. The movie is not only good because of the cast, but also because it shares the true meaning of Christmas. There was so much giving and helping others in this movie. Once again, Hearties are left wondering when Jack will finally propose to Elizabeth, but it wouldn't have made sense to have done it in the movie rather than during a regular season show. Not only does it keep the suspense going, but seems like the right thing to do. All of us Hearties are ready for that proposal and anxiously awaiting the for the new season to arrive! Don't miss out on this great movie! Watch it and it will leave you wanting more! (Posted on 1/9/17)

As an avid fan of When Calls the Heart and proud member of the #Hearties, I anxiously awaited this holiday gem, and it did not disappoint. Once again, the magic on the screen radiated the real essence of this wonderful show. Hope Valley and all of its citizens came together to "save" Christmas for the town and bring happiness to the still overwhelmed and displaced victims of the flood. Through acts of kindness, selflessness, and hard work, the beloved members of Hope Valley that we have grown to love and call family are reminded that Christmas is more about the giving than the getting...more about helping others find what they need and not necessarily what they want. Everyone needs a little When Calls the Heart in their lives...especially at Christmas. ❤ (Posted on 1/9/17)

This episode is the best yet! My favorite scene has to do with Bill and Abigail in the café! Gowan makes his appearance again. Since this is season 4, we know the characters and I love the way all of them interact and then loved the way the new characters from season 3 become part of Hope Valley in this episode. Fans of the series will love this episode! (Posted on 1/9/17)
This episode felt like a class reunion! Seeing all of the favorite characters back together again was just such a joy! I know this season will have some kind of conflict that will throw everything into a temporary tailspin, but for this episode, it was just a happy picture of all the things we love about Hope Valley!
