If cars could talk what would they say? Well, now you can find out! Join the fun loving, big dreaming, adventure prone cars of the city of Auto in the award winning animated show Auto B Good. While getting out of scrapes, adventuring in the wider world, and living life in a city of cars-come-to-life your kids will learn valuable character traits and life lessons along the way! Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish includes five enjoyable episodes that viewers of all ages will laugh and learn from.
The first episode of Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish is based on the character trait of thankfulness. Izzi is a tiny orange car who is known for her sweet personality and voice of reason. There are downsides to being so small, however, and “Friends In High Places” finds Izzi wishing people would let her do things for herself. She knows her friends love her, but she is tired of being overlooked and treated like. . .well like the tiny car she is. When a mishap at the town’s talent show presents the perfect opportunity for her to shine Izzi jumps at the chance, but the tiny orange car will soon learn that everyone is created for a purpose, and that everyone is loved and needed just the way they are.
Spring break is upon the younger cars of Auto, and everyone is lazying the days away. That is, until Franklin (the older, wise, respected leader of the community who takes special care to nurture the younger cars into good citizens) challenges everyone to try something new. Everyone sets out with full steam . . .er that is gas. . .ahead, but they soon discover setting a goal is a lot easier than reaching it. The second episode in Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish teaches the important value and trait of perseverance.
EJ-- the athletic, imaginative, somewhat accident prone but very loveable young, green car-- is all set to become the “next big soccer star” (at least in his world). When a series of soccer errors shakes his game, however, EJ also experiences a loss in his confidence. His friends Johnny (the super speedy yellow sport car) and Professor (the quirky inventor from up on the hill) are not about to let the frustrated young athlete to give up, however, and with a bit of hard love (and a few of the Professor’s inventions) they give EJ the boost of confidence he needs. The third episode of Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish teaches confidence.
Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish includes two bonus episodes, the first of which is “Heavenly Event.” In this episode the whole town of Auto is getting ready for the upcoming meteor shower. The whole place is buzzing with excitement as everyone makes plans to experience the spectacular event. EJ, however, experiences an injury as he heads out to see the show (the loveable green car is not exactly known for being graceful or, well, lucky). EJ will miss the spectacular display unless his friends can find a way to save the day. The first bonus episode of Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish teaches the important trait of generosity.
Once again the loveable but stubborn EJ is in trouble again. This time, the little green car was fighting. . .at school. When his lapse in judgment causes everyone to receive an extra assignment over the weekend EJ is not exactly the hero on the block. There is more to it than pride, and bad logic, however, and as EJ struggles to complete his assignment will he learn what kindness actually is, or will he fail once again? The second bonus episode of Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish teaches kindness.
While the characters of Auto B Good will have your kids giggling on the couch, there is more to the show than just a good time. Each and every episode in Auto B Good teaches and reinforces valuable life lessons and traits, as your children learn from the mistakes and experiences of the Auto characters. While these episodes are not expressly Christian, they do introduce and use Biblical values, many of which are Fruits of the Spirit. The episodes in Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish provide a wonderful opportunity for you to discuss Biblical values with your children. After watching an episode families can discuss together what the characters did right and wrong. You can even pull out God’s Word to see what he has to say on the topic, connecting life and Scripture in a memorable way for your children. The episodes of Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish are not only fun, they are also fruitful, and ones the entire family can enjoy.
Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish has not been rated by the Motion Picture Association of America, but its lightweight, family friendly values mean it is considered acceptable for most audiences. As always, however, it is recommend that parents preview all content to determine what is suitable for their children.
Auto B Good Season 1 Vol 1: Fuel For The Finish has a total run time (all episodes) of fifty minutes. Each episode is approximately ten minutes long.

~ What ~
This fifty-minute DVD contains three adventures in Auto, a cartoon city where captive cars and trucks come to life. In the first adventure, Izzi learns thankfulness for her friends through a talent show. The middle video has Franklin promoting to do something new like curling, encouraging perseverance. The last section is about regaining confidence when EJ falters on a skateboard. Two bonus sessions are about generosity and kindness. The cartoon illustrations are colorful with fun eyed-cars, background music, and different characters’ dialogues.
~ Why ~
With all stories promoting valuable life-lessons, they also help establish good character, how to make and keep friends, and think of others. I like how each video is short yet full of action and expressive cartoons. Adults may like looking at the various car designs that range from an old Model T to a Mercedes, truck, or sports car to name a few.
~ Why Not ~
Some may not like cartoon illustrations as they are not real. Others may find
the stories either too short or long based on the child’s attention span.
~ Who ~
With Emmy winning animation, this series is appropriate for the entire family. More products can be found at https://www.fishflix.com/children-s-movies/auto-b-good.html
~ Wish ~
With the series promoting valuable life lessons, I wish more cartoons were based on wholesome but engaging themes that were available.
~ Want ~
If you want an innocuous set of short video cartoons to have children watch that does not contain any scary or inappropriate scenes or language, this is a great start to the fourteen DVD collection.
