The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story

We've all heard the timeless tale of beauty and the beast, a fair maiden ends up trapped in a castle with a beast, and while she is there, she ends up falling in love with the beast. Amidst many turmoils and conflict, they are able to find a middle ground and fall in love with each other. However, conflicts arise that threaten to pull them apart. But in the end, they are able to hold fast to true love and weather the difficult storms of life. This is the story we've all come to know. Prepare to be dazzled in this new retelling of the story as you meet Isabelle, a spoiled socialite whose only cares in the world revolve around herself. Isabelle isn't a down-to-earth or even very smart women. She was born into a ridiculously rich family, and that's all that really matters. Her lavish spending and often very immoral parties and social events tend to land her in trouble and when she's threatened to be cut off from the family, she shows absolutely no sign of stopping. In The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story, you will follow along with Isabelle and witness her incredible story. When she uses the company jet to fly off to Switzerland for a spontaneous ski trip, she ends up alone and lost in the middle of the snowy mountains. It is there that she meets Jeremy, a man who has built a home out in the middle of the snowy mountains where he can escape the noise of the world to experience quietude and solidarity. When Isabelle ventures into his cabin, they end up meeting and spending several days together, as Isabelle is unable to leave due to the horrible storms and a broken ankle. As they spend time together, they begin to realize how very different they are. Isabelle is a partier and a wild, frivolous consumer. Jeremy on the other hand, is a quiet, private, and down-to-earth man. As they spend more time together, they come to realize how different they are and how much they can't stand each other. And yet, they can't seem to stop themselves from falling in love! This beautiful tale is told in the incredible film The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story.

What Can Truly Bring Happiness?

This is the question that is clearly posed in The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story. If you were to ask Isabelle this at the beginning of the film, she would answer with one single word -- money. Her whole life and sense of happiness has been built on the simple concept that she has money and she wants to spend it freely, however she chooses. She's determined that this is how you find happiness. You spend your life either working to get rich or simply being rich. Then you can afford to buy anything you want and you can be as frivolous as you so desire. However, as she ends up trapped with Jeremy, she begins to realize that money is not the thing that can truly bring you ultimate happiness. While Isabelle has had many boyfriends and significant others before, none of them have ever truly cared for Isabelle. They only loved her or cared about her for her money or so that they could get something out of Isabelle. When she meets and begins to fall in love with Jeremy, she begins to realize that Jeremy is not like this. He has zero interest in her money or what she can give him. He just knows that he loves her and truly cares for her. This comes as a shock to Isabelle and it takes her quite a while to truly realize and understand this concept that is so different for her. But as we learn in The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story, money is not the thing that will truly bring us happiness. There are far greater and more important things in this world.

Isabelle's Journey

The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story is a beautiful recounting of Isabelle's journey. The film shows some incredible character development and progression. In the beginning of the film, when we meet Isabelle, she is a socialite debutante who doesn't have a care in the world, as long as her parents continue putting money in her bank account. She's rich and has no need to work! And because of this, she has all the free time she could ever want to go shopping, put on lavish parties, and have all the fun she can fit in a 24 hour day. Her mother gets increasingly upset with her and as Isabelle continues to get worse and worse with her spending habit, her mother prepares to cut her bank account off. Things finally come to a head when Isabelle and a friend decide to use the company jet to take off for a vacation in Switzerland where they can go skiing. When she and her friend get into an argument, they end up separating and Isabelle finds herself completely alone in the snowy mountains of Switzerland in The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story.

It is then that she meets Jeremy, an American man who is living a simple life in a simple but homely cabin in the mountains of Switzerland. In The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story, Isabelle is taken aback and confused by Jeremy. But as he nurses her back to health and they spend the next several days together, she begins to learn about his worldview and how he tries to lead a simple and quiet life. He begins to show her that money isn't everything and everything Isabelle ever thought was completely wrong. As they fall in love, they both learn important lessons about life, and most importantly, love. The Beautiful Beast: A Beauty and the Beast Story is a beautiful and touching Christian DVD that is well worth a watch.
